Formed processing

Plastic processing that realizes various benefits! It is possible to maintain a very stable processing accuracy!

"Formed processing" is a method that utilizes the plasticity of metals (plastic processing) to achieve chipless production, continuous manufacturing, high precision, and increased strength. Since it shapes the material by deforming its structure with pressure instead of cutting, no chips are generated during processing. As a result, it can be manufactured with less material weight, significantly contributing to cost reduction. Additionally, since there is almost no waste, it helps reduce environmental impact. [Features] ■ Reduction in material costs ■ Improvement in productivity ■ Stable processing accuracy ■ Increased strength *For more details, please refer to the PDF materials or feel free to contact us.

Nakamura Manufacturing Co., Ltd. Business Introduction

We will continue to impress our customers with our unique technology.

Nakamura Seisakusho Co., Ltd. has consistently focused on the production of metal parts using our uniquely developed press die technology since our founding in 1962. Thanks to this, our refined and unique technology has received high praise from many customers, who have adopted it, as it far exceeds the conventional wisdom of plastic processing. We are sincerely grateful for this recognition. The technology we have developed is characterized by its ability to produce metal parts that were previously only possible through machining, or were difficult to manufacture even with machining, while maintaining high quality. As a result, we have achieved energy and resource savings, and we take pride in being a truly "environmentally friendly" technology that is indispensable in the 21st century. We will continue to create unique technologies and inspire more customers. We believe this is our mission. We appreciate your continued support. 【Main Business】 ○ Metal Plastic Processing Business → Precision mold design and manufacturing, precision press parts processing ○ Precision Product Assembly Business → Integrated assembly of advanced technology products and press parts For more details, please contact us or download our catalog.

[Processing Example] Reducing cutting through die forming by changing the thickness of the material from machining.

Improved yield through cutting reduction and the ability to reduce the thickness of necessary strength areas enables product lightweighting!

We would like to introduce a case study of Samsung Manufacturing's steel pipe plastic processing technology "Thickness Variation." The thickness variation is achieved through die forming instead of machining, tailored to the product's strength, resulting in reduced cutting. As a result, the elimination of cutting improves yield, and the thickness variation in areas requiring strength allows for product weight reduction. Please feel free to contact us if you have any inquiries. 【Case Overview】 <Goal> ■ Achieve thickness variation tailored to product strength through die forming instead of machining. <Efficiency> ■ The elimination of cutting improves yield, and the thickness variation in areas requiring strength allows for product weight reduction. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

Beak extension processing "Axis enlargement (R)"

It is our unique plastic processing technology that can enlarge a part of the axis material. (It can also handle difficult-to-process materials.)

This is a technology that allows for the formation of a flange (creating a bulge on the shaft) through plastic processing without cutting or forging the shaft material. It has been successfully applied in gear pump shafts, intermediate shafts, ball screws, etc. 【Features】 - There is no material loss. (It can also handle difficult-to-machine materials such as titanium.) - Processing time can be significantly reduced compared to cutting processes. - Flanging can be performed on large diameter and long products. (Up to φ70mm, up to L600mm) - Since it is not a hot processing method, CO2 emissions can be significantly reduced.

Metal Pipe Plastic Processing: Pipe Bar Ring Processing

Welding is possible with one-third of the labor compared to conventional welding assembly! There are no welding marks at the joints, allowing fluids to flow smoothly, contributing to improved performance in pressure and flow rate.

Araki Giken Kogyo offers "burring processing." We also develop and sell burring processing machines for general piping applications. This processing directly applies plastic deformation to the branch from the main pipe. As a result, it can be installed more simply than conventional methods. For a "tee joint," which typically requires a total of three welds for one branch, our processing allows for only one weld per branch (1/3 of the welding work). Additionally, the branch section, which traditionally retained residual materials, benefits from our processing's smooth R shape, allowing for smooth flow and avoiding stress concentration, thereby contributing to increased seismic strength. Moreover, our company has been a pioneer in burring processing for 45 years in Japan. Please consult us for difficult processing tasks that may be impossible for other companies. 【Features】 ■ Defect-resistant back wave butt welding is possible (robot welding compatible) ■ Direct plastic processing of the branch from the main pipe ■ Welding can be done with 1/3 of the work compared to conventional welded assemblies (tee joint welding assembly) ■ Smooth R shape ■ Ideal for food and pharmaceutical piping systems due to smooth flow of residual materials! *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

Kouritsu Co., Ltd. - Flow of Integrated Production 1 - Plastic Processing (Cold Forging)

Utilizing the strengths of a combination of engineering-intensive pressing and cutting processes for mold making.

At Kouritsu Co., Ltd., our plastic processing (cold forging) focuses on process shortening and consolidation through the introduction of FEM analysis software, the adoption of automatic pallet changers, and the utilization of three-dimensional transfer and three-stage forming. We perform precision machining of high-load products using a 1200t press. We are working on optimal mold design through the introduction of FEM analysis software and the realization of near-net shape by shortening development lead times. Additionally, we have achieved a significant reduction in setup time through external setup with the adoption of automatic pallet changers, and we confirm and understand the flow of the metal structure after forging through fiber flow inspection. For more details, please contact us or refer to our catalog.
